Don’t get me wrong but I sometimes feel that the world is a grey, dreary place. With way too many people living sad lives while at the same time I’m somehow “bored” or I’m in some other way just tuned off/out. It just feels off.
The Cookbook Adventure is, for me, a way to bring some colour back into the world. I can give myself a giant shot of WOW, while doing something to actually help some people I’ve never met (yet) thanks to the great charity for orphans in Mongolia we’re working with. At the same time I get to develop and pour more fun into something I’m slowly becoming pretty good at – cooking. So a triple-win.
I get to give back, I get to give to me, and at the same time I get to do what I love most create something I can be proud of. The Cookbook Adventure.
We’re making a book! My grandfather is a writer and a journalist and so are several more in my family. Might be that it was meant that also I would do some writing one day. And I feel the urge! The urge that comes from me desperately wanting to make my vision come true. I guess that might be how many writers feel.
Our vision is to bring back something real and something unique. Culture is not always easy to communicate but i truly believe that by putting it in the context of food and cooking we will be able to tell the story to whoever opens our book.
The last 3 years I’ve committed to follow my dreams and devoted my time to build sustainable companies and projects making the world a better place, although we still are in a small scale, I’m very happy with what we’ve accomplished. I love the idea of bringing positive social impact supported by a business model, and if I can involve travel and food, the better.
Cooking has always been very close to my heart since it is an important part of how me and my family spend time together. We cook, eat, talk about cooking and recipes and has done for as long as I can remember. Many of our greatest family memories is related to food and I’m very much hoping to be involved in your family through The Cookbook Adventure.
